Cappadocia Tour

Cappadocia is located in the eastern of Turkey. Region has a altitude high over 1000 m which is made by volcanic peaks, with Mount Erciyes near Kayseri at a altitude of 3916 m. The boundaries of historical Cappadocia are particularly at the west. the Taurus Mountains form a boundary at the south and separate Cappadocia from the Mediterranean Sea. To the west, Cappadocia is bounded by the historical regions of Lycaonia to the southwest, and Galatia to the northwest. The Black Sea mountains separate Cappadocia from the Black Sea, while to the east Cappadocia is bounded by the upper Euphrates, before that river bends to the southeast to flow into Mesopotamia, and the Armenian Highland. Cappadocia has a markedly continental climate, with hot dry summers and cold snowy winters. Rainfall is sparse and the region is largely semi arid.

Cappadocia is a very popular tourist destination. It has many areas with geological, historic, and cultural features. The region is placed southwest of the city Kayseri, which has airline and railway service to Ankara and Istanbul. The most important towns and destinations in Cappadocia are Urgup, Goreme, Ihlara Valley, Selime, Guzelyurt, Uchisar, Avanos and Zelve. Among the underground cities worth seeing are Derinkuyu, Kaymakli, Gaziemir and Ozkanak. The best historic places and cave houses for tourist stays are in Urgup, Goreme, Guzelyurt and Uchisar. Hot-air ballooning is very popular in Cappadocia and is available in Goreme. Trekking is enjoyed inIhlara Valley, Monastery Valley (Guzelyurt), Urgup and k. Sedimentary rocks formed in lakes and streams and ignimbrite deposits that erupted from ancient volcanoes approximately 9 to 3 million years ago. The rocks of Cappadocia near Göreme eroded into hundreds of spectacular pillars and minaret-like forms. People of the villages at the heart of the Cappadocia Region carved out houses, churches and monasteries from the soft rocks of volcanic deposits. Göreme became a monastic centre in 300—1200 AD. The first period of settlement in Göreme goes back to the Roman period. The Göreme Open Air Museum is the most visited site of the monastic communities in Cappadocia and is one of the most famous sites in central Turkey. The complex contains more than 30 carved-from-rock churches and chapels, some having superb frescoes inside, dating from the 9th century to the 11th century. Turkey Tours from Cappadocia

Ankara

Ankara City Tour

Ankara City Tour

Ankara is the capital of Turkey and the country’s second largest city after Istanbul and it’s about 455 km by drive and 1 hour flight from Istanbul. There is also train between Istanbul - Ankara. Population of the Ankara 4.432,719 and once very highlighted place to visit during traveling to Turkey. Also, Ankara is on of the destination in the Turkey package tours.

The city has a mean elevation of 938 meters, and as of 2010 the metropolitan area in the entire Ankara Province had a population of 4.4 million. As turkey advisor, with many ancient cities, Ankara has gone by several names over the ages. It has been identified with the Hittite cult center Ankuses, although this remains a matter of debate. In classical antiquity and during the medieval period, the city was known as Ankara in Greek and Ancyra in Latin; the Galatian Celtic name was probably a similar variant. Following its annexation by the Seljuk Turks in 1073, the city became known in many European languages as Angora, a usage which continued until its official renaming to Ankara under the Turkish Postal Service Law of 1930.

Another proposed theory show that the original name of the city might be taken over from the Angara River of Asia by the invading Seljuk Turks. Centrally located in Anatolia, Ankara is an important commercial and industrial city. It is the center of the Turkish Government, and houses all foreign embassies. It is an important crossroads of trade, strategically located at the center of Turkeys highway and railway networks, and serves as the marketing center for the surrounding agricultural area. The city was famous for its long haired Angora goat and its prized wool , a unique breed of cat (Angora cat), white rabbits and their prized wool (Angora wool), pears, honey, and the regions musket grapes.
