Hagia Irene or Hagia Eirene often erroneously rendered in English as St Irene, is a former Eastern Orthodox church located in the outer courtyard of Topkapi Palace in Istanbul, Turkey. It is open as a museum every day except Monday but requires special permission for admission. Turned over to the mosque after the conquest of Istanbul in 1453 for the church there has not been a significant change in structure.

Galatasaray Museum (officially Galatasaray University Culture & Art Center) (Turkish: Galatasaray Muzesi) is a cultural center in Istanbul / Turkey, founded in 1868 by Ali Sami Yen, to inform the society of the traditions and history of Galatasaray. Chora Church

Chora Church
Chora Church
The Church of the Holy Saviour in Chora (Turkish Kariye Müzesi, Kariye Camii, or Kariye Kilisesi  the Chora Museum, Mosque or Church) is considered to be one of the most beautiful surviving examples of a Byzantine church. Chora Museum is famous  withseramics, mosaics from Byzantium. The church is situated in Istanbul, in the Edirnekapı neighborhood, which lies in the western part of the municipality (belediye) of Fatih. In the 16th century, during the Ottoman era, the church was converted into a mosque and, finally, it became a museum in 1948. The interior of the building is covered with fine mosaics and frescoes.

Chora Museum is close on wednesday and you can include the Chora Church in your Istanbul itinerary with one of  local Turkish travel agencies. You can take Istanbul tour packages and add other museums like Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace as well.
